Bubba Keg Convection Grill

My wife found this great deal on a Bubba Keg Convection grill this week at Home Depot so we had to go out and get one. I must say that since I had a competition coming up 4 days after the day that we bought it I was a little worried about making the big switch without having ample "practice" time with the new pit. Well, worry no more...this this is easier than speeding in a school zone and much more rewarding. It may cost as much, but is well worth it! My biggest problem that I have found with most smokers that I have smoked with has got to be the ability to know the temp and to more importantly keep it stable. Don't get me wrong you can go out and spend $5,000 and have all of those bases covered right off the rip but if you're begining like me who wants to spend that kind of money off the bat? My first smoker was an "el cheapo Brinkman", cost me $37 at ace hardware and well you saw the bio...I was hooked, so I bought 4 more!!!
This Bubba Keg puts that thing to shame, now it costs a lot more but the benefits are a more controlable temp and better tasting meat...me and my wife Niki always say it's not the size of your pit but the taste of your meat...and folks....my meat tastes good!!!
This weekend is our second KCBS event as pro's and it's in our own backyard...NEW ORLEANS, LA so wish us luck and if you're around town come on by and taste some of Uncle Lee-Bird's Cajun Zing BBQ sauce and Aunt Niki's Rubs....wish us luck...
